Angiogenic / Anti-angiogenic Compounds
Angiogenic compounds promote blood vessel growth and these are the first small molecule compounds discovered to have angiogenic activity. Applications include revascularization of injured cardiac muscle and tissues affected by diabetic vascular disease. The angiogenic compounds have been demonstrated in tissue cell culture experiments.
Anti-angiogenic compounds are novel compounds that inhibit the growth of solid tumors by restricting blood vessel growth potential applications also include therapy for macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. This compound has been demonstrated in tissue cell culture experiments.
