Riverside Center continues to grow as construction has begun on the 200,000 square-foot Carilion Clinic building at Jefferson and Reserve Avenues.  When construction is complete in 2009, this new building will house physician offices and exam rooms and is designed for patient convenience and efficiency.  This design ideal espouses the promise to deliver higher quality care through better patient care coordination.  Construction has also begun on a 1,200 space parking garage adjacent to the Carilion Clinic building to make it easy for patients to access their Clinic physicians.  In the near future, construction will also commence on the new research institute and the joint medical school with Virginia Tech; completing the groundwork so to speak, to provide world class care through improved patient outcomes, leading edge research and innovative methods to educated tomorrow’s physicians.  Carilion Biomedical Institute is thrilled to be a part of this exciting revolution.
